Wheelbarrow rides with Grandpa!

These pictures are so great for me because as a child growing up one of the things I remember the most about going and visiting my grandparents in Idaho was the wheelbarrow rides! My Grandpa Hyde and some of my uncles would take us grandkids for rides in my grandparents backyard in the wheelbarrow. I remember it being so much fun and I always looked forward to it! They would run around the backyard with one of us in the wheelbarrow and then dump us out and let the next kid in...too fun! So I was way excited when my parents bought a wheelbarrow and were about to work in their garden. It was cute for me to see Crew get his first wheelbarrow ride from his grandpa. He loved it, and then later, of course, had to try doing it himself! Too cute!

Sometimes I just think Crew looks so stinkin adorable! Here he is in his Sunday best on our way to church, and then helping me in the kitchen. He LOVES to put on my oven mitts! I can't even seem to cook anymore without having to put them on him. Once he sees me with them on, he has to have them on too.

Crew turns one! (2 months ago...I am late!)

I know....this post is long overdue! Better late than never. I can't believe Crew had his first birthday! It was soooo much fun. I know I enjoyed it more than he did. My Mom made this awesome monkey cake. And she made a special monkey cupcake all for Crew (just his size) that looked identical to this cake. It was so cute, and he basically ate the entire cupcake. That was his first time having chocolate, and basically his first time having sugar. Needless to say, he LOVED it. He was a bit hesitant at first to get messy, but he got over that fast! It was such a fun day! My family was here along with Zach, Liesl, and
Derek's grandparents, Bill and Iona. It was so great to have all of his favorite people over! He got the cake all over his face and loved it! I couldn't stop laughing and how funny he was eating his cake, it was such a mess. He basically couldn't care less about opening the presents. He got some cute outfits, new toys and a really fun book! I had no idea that his first birthday party would be so much fun for me. I guess I just relished in every minute. I loved that everyone was loving him and having a great time watching my cute little man! I love him so much and can't wait for the many more birthdays we will have
with him. It is crazy that an entire year has past. I remember when I was still counting how old he was in days. It all seems to have flown by. It has been so much fun watching him grow and learn. He has brought so much joy and love to our lives!

Sneaky sneaky...

This is taken under the table. Derek and I were both sitting at the kitchen table, he was on his computer and me on mine. Crew crawled under the table and was playing great. He was nice and quiet and we were getting things done...it was great! Until I realized Crew was too quiet. He is very sneaky. We looked and he had been pulling out all of the diaper wipes one at a time! We honestly have to hide them around the house. If they are within his reach he will pull them out every time. Annoying, but kinda funny too! Oh well!

Haircut Time

These pics crack me up. The last time my Mom gave Crew a haircut he was great. He sat still and I think actually liked the humming sound. This time...not so much! You can tell he is not enjoying it, but after some tears and screams, he turned out looking darling.

Maybe Baby Boy?

I found out about a week ago that we will probably be having a boy. It is still a bit early to tell for sure. I went in for my 16 week checkup and the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat...yep...I was way nervous. So of course they sent me to the hospital to get an ultrasound and there it was, so no worries there. While I was there I figured I may as well ask if he can tell what I am having yet, he said probably a boy, not 100% sure, but he was about 95% confident. So, it looks like Crew will have a little buddy soon!

Baby News!

I know, it has been forever since I have made a post. Partly due to my feeling blahh! Yep, Derek and I are expecting baby #2. I am 16 weeks pregnant and feeling great now! I didn't realize how spoiled I was with my first pregnancy, where I felt fine mostly. This one has been harder but I am glad that yucky feeling has past. I am due on October 25th. I know, I am a little freaked out because Crew and this one will only be about 19-20 months apart...YIKES! We are very excited!
